Project info

The Lofts at Orchidhouse are an eclectic mix of 83 live/work lofts located in the heart of Downtown Tempe in the Brickyard on Mill. (These have also been referred to as the “Brickyard Lofts” or the “Brickyard on Mill Lofts”.) These urban lofts, located at 21 E. 6th Street, just east of the intersection of 6th Street and Mill Avenue in the heart of the Mill Avenue District were one of the very first new loft style properties built during the new urban revolution in Tempe. The community was constructed by Joe E. Woods and developed by Brownstone Residential with most homes first closing escrow in 2002 and 2003. The 83 single level lofts range in size from 778 square feet studio style lofts to 3,200 square feet Penthouse style lofts. Ceiling heights for the loft dwellings range from 11 feet to 16 feet. The seven story building is occupied by 5 floors of residences and the bottom two floors are used by the City of Tempe and other tenants such as Rehab Burger and ASU Decision Theater.

The Orchidhouse Brownstones are located on the East end of the Orchidhouse building and consist of 3 story, city style live/work spaces with parking right out their front door. Multiple retail and office tenants are located in the Orchidhouse Brownstones. The Orchidhouse Lofts and Brownstones are mere steps away from hundreds of restaurants, retail, entertainment, Tempe Town Lake, ASU, and the light rail station at 3rd Street & Mill Avenue.
